Adonay Alfaro

Born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica, I have always been passionate about two things: arts and sports. In 1991 while I was at my second year of architecture school and playing soccer for Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) an opportunity to travel to Canada came. I moved to Toronto to play soccer and learned English, French and the Canadian culture along another things.

In 1997 I moved to United States, where I began my studies in electronic graphic arts. I attended San Antonio College in Texas and during my enrollment there, I won an International scholarship and also helped the college’s soccer team to win The Collegiate State Championship.

I graduated with honors in 1999 and became a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society an International scholarship order. I also was working as a technical illustrator for Zapata & Associates, an architectural firm, when I was hired bynuMedia Group Strategic Internet Solutionsa company that needed a new identity and my design was selected to be the company logo and trade mark. Next I started  working and learning about Internet strategic solutions and how to integrate a custom web application with a well done design.

My passion for internet design and progress earned me a position at the prestigious newspaper, the Los Angeles Times where I worked in the art department as a freelance web designer. I also created online advertising and promotional campaigns in support of the local and national sales efforts. I was responsible for developing conceptual ideas and building the online advertising units used on

In 2004 I moved back to Costa Rica, where I continues working as a freelance web designer, graphic artist and creative.

My first client in Costa Rica was Paradigma Construction, where I was hired to produce a full marketing campaign, website and other marketing tools. The sales campaign was a boom just like the Real Estate boom in Costa Rica at the time and I became the main speaker and sales representative in international seminars, workshops, investor presentations and Expos.

Traveling all around the USA, my enthusiasm, customer service skills and passion for what I do were soon transformed into sales, boosting me to a management position as the company’s Marketing and Sales Executive in which capacity I helped boost company sales to over $10 million.

In May 2007 I was hired by Costa Developers Developers as Creative Director. My designs and marketing ideas were soon online and also in ink.

In 2009 I worked as senior designer for Fiserv a company that provides Web Design Services including everything from lower-cost, quick-launch sites with basic design options, to highly customized sites with advanced graphics and navigation

Today I continue working as freelance designer and creative consultant. I also work as a sales executive for Rock Constructions and Residencias Málaga.
